About Katie

As a young girl, my family experienced many hardships including my father passing away suddenly. I remember going to counseling and feeling so uncomfortable to open up and I feared being judged. I became a counselor to help others experiencing hardships and my goal is to offer a warm, comfortable environment free of judgment and bias. In my counseling practice, I am passionate about truly connecting with each client and family that I serve.

I enjoy working with children, teens, and young adults to overcome obstacles that are interfering in their daily lives and help them obtain a greater level of fulfillment. I have specialized training in Stress Reduction, Anxiety, Depression, Grief & Loss, Play Therapy,  and Nutritional Therapy. I love working with clients on relationship struggles, boundary setting, letting go of shame, and perfectionism. I utilize evidence based therapeutic approaches including Solution-Focused Therapy and Attachment Theory. I am a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and use a naturopathic approach to mental health treatment giving me access to lab testing that other therapists may not have. I am also certified in EFIT and use this method when working with trauma.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and am also available to supervise LPC-Associates.

I am available during the day and in the evening and am happy to make accommodations to work with your schedule.
